Entre el 9 de mayo y el 21 de junio la Casa de la Juventud de la Vega de San Mateo acojerá en exclusiva para la provincia de Las Palmas la exposición oficial del II concurso Internacional de Astrofotografía La Palma 2012 que convocó por segundo año consecutivo el Cabildo de la isla Bonita con gran éxito de participación.

Eclipse lunar rasante del 25 de abril de 2013

El pasado 25 de abril puso observarse un eclipse parcial de Luna. A pesar de lo rasante del contacto, estimado en un 2%, lo cierto es que resultó más vistoso de lo esperado.

Las imágenes se realizaron con un teleobjetivo de 300 mm y una Canon EOS 550D. Visualmente, no se apreciaron los tipicos colores, pero si fue evidente la fase penumbral.

Last april 25th, a partial moon eclipse was seen from Gran Canaria. As only 2% was covered, we surprised by penumbrae shadow. All images were taken with a Canon EOS 55d and 300 mm objective .

Hace unos días, Lauren Nilson, que colaboró en este trabajo, nos envió el enlace a este increible video sobre contaminación lumínica. La traducción del título sería Los costos de las contaminación lumínica, y se centra en cómo la contaminación lumínica afecta a la salud y al medio ambiente. Un trabajo muy bien hecho, con unas imágenes y audio muy cuidados, que recomendarmos ver y compartir.
